Gate4SPICE in Sofia

Together with KOSTAL SofiaSoft Bulgaria, Process Fellows organized a Gate4Spice event in Sofia on February 12, 2026, on the topic of “Benefits, Disadvantages, and Risks of AI-generated Evidence.” The presentations discussed the advantages and challenges of AI-generated work products and how to deal with them in assessments.

Our Fellows Horst Kostal highlighted the differences between individual work products, the extent to which the use of AI can be useful here, and where risks need to be assessed.

Particular challenges lie in the evaluation of the generated results, as additional effort is to be expected here.

Further presentations then dealt in detail with the use of AI for the creation of requirements, verification measures, and detailed design, presented by Antonia Dimitrova from KOSTAL Bulgaria and Dr. Bernhard Roth from KOSTAL Dortmund.

Together with the enthusiastic participants, all the topics covered were then discussed in working groups and a common understanding was developed.

The consensus: Using AI to generate work results does not relieve team members of their responsibility to ensure quality; increased effort for checking results and possible rework is to be expected. In addition, product development skills will need to expand to include knowledge of AI models and their benefits.

The cost-benefit ratio should always be carefully evaluated.

The results will soon be available to registered users at www.intacs.info.
